Welcome back Scouts...1 month down in our Scouting year...but many more fun ones to go !
This month's theme is RESPONSIBILITY. When you think about that word, what comes to mind ? Is it that only adults have lots of responsibility ? Is it that responsibility is no fun ? Does the word scare you ?
Well, responsibility can be as simple as making your bed, picking up your dirty clothes, or setting the table for a family dinner. I think responsibility is something that is GIVEN, but can also be TAKEN. You see, you can TAKE responsibility for your actions and words, and can TAKE responsibility for doing a good turn daily, you can TAKE responsibility for helping out your brother or sister...but it's your choice.
This month I challenge you to TAKE responsibility for yourself and ask your adult partner what you can do to help around the house...you might even find out that being RESPONSIBLE for yourself is fun ! Don't forget that we will be having uniform inspections at our next Pack meeting, so take responsibility for getting your uniform ready !
