Cub
Scout Pack 3177 is chartered by Holy Family Parish in Stow,
Ohio. The program is designed for boys that are in the first
through fifth grades. Fourth and fifth grade boys participate
in the Webelos (We’ll Be Loyal Scouts) that prepares
them for entering the Boy Scout program.
Cub
Scouts is a family and home-centered program that will help
your son grow up to be self-reliant and dependable –
a person of worth. Parents, leaders and organizations work
together to achieve the 10 purposes in Cub Scouting:
1. Character
Development

3. Good Citizenship
4. Sportsmanship and Fitness
5. Family Understanding
6. Respectful Relationships
7. Personal Achievement

Each
scout is part of a Den that meets 2 – 3 times a month.
The den meetings are a time for learning new things, going
on field trips and having fun. Each den is led by a volunteer
adult leader and an adult assistant.
Your
scout is also part of Pack 3177 that meets once a month.
Our Pack is made up of several Dens. The monthly meetings
usually have a theme (Christmas Party, Cake Baking Contest,
Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold and Arrow of Light to name
a few) and a time to acknowledge their achievements during
the month. The scouts may also perform skits and sing songs
during the pack meeting.
The
pack meetings are run by the Cubmaster and the pack committee.
These people are volunteers, typically with son(s) who are
part of the pack. The pack is sponsored by Holy Family Parish.
They make sure that the pack operates within the guidelines
and policies of their church and the Boy Scouts of America.
You
do not have to be a member of Holy Family Parish to join.
We have scouts from all of our local schools in our Pack.
You may be surprised to find a fellow classmate in your
Den. If your son is interested in joining please contact
Tom Brownridge, Assistant Cubmaster at 330.968.4731 or email
him at rkbrownridge@gmail.com.
We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
